Just a few quick announcements.

  • Forums have been upgraded to the latest stable vBulletin release, 4.1.2. As with all releases, please report any bugs or issues discovered to me via PM or e-mail.
  • During the upgrade some style changes have occurred:
    • 2 previously available styles have been removed due to compatibility issues.
    • I have inadvertently overwritten the Oromëa logo, oops. I will get this back up asap.
    • I have added a new Mobile Style, obviously for use with mobile devices, that will make browsing the forums from your smart phone easier. Yay!
  • The forums have been hit with a rather large round of spam registrations lately. I am in the process of again reviewing our anti-spam measures to prevent this from happening. However, the sheer volume of requests that were in there means that I could not sort through for legitimate requests. If you're registrations was rejected and you are a legitimate person requesting access, please do so again and I will authorize your account. Some key things to consider:
    • Generally we only accept requests from legitimate seeming e-mail providers (e.g. gmail, ymail, yahoo, hotmail, etc).
    • We do not accept any .rr or similar e-mail providers without a preemptive PM on your part
    • Any remotely suspicious email addresses or providers are deleted. So bob@haxxorz.rr and ihaxj00@gmail.com will both be deleted, sorry.
Additionally, I am working on a number of things behind the scenes in the coming days to fix some errors and organizational problems with the forums. Please stay tuned for this.
