(Alrighty, I'd be happy to continue)

"People say a lot of things, and at each retelling the tale gets grander,"
Kheiron paused to dab at his already healing wound with a sleeve of his robe.
"Inside every tale though, is a grain of truth"
He reached into his robe and produced a small vial filled with a thick brown gel.
"Resin," he explained, "It's a dreadfully common substance that quite literally grows on trees and if there is anything we have no shortage of in Mirendil, it's trees. However, like most things, there is more to it then meets the eye."
Kheiron emptied part of the vials contents, slowly, upon his open palm.
"Resin binds, both physically and magically. With the right knowledge it can be used as a reagent to bind the magical to the physical, in more ways then I'll show you tonight"

With staff in hand, Kheiron concentrated and in typical magical fashion the resin vanished from his palm in a swirl of blue and yellow light. The previous blue aura on his staff gone as well.

"Binding the energy of the magical to the physical," he repeated, "essentially converting Mana to Stamina. With proper training and use, it can lead to enviable endurance in all physical pursuits. I have yet to see it allow any archer, Mirdain or otherwise, to fire endlessly though...if only for want of sufficient arrows"

"And they should consider themselves lucky that's all they need. Take up magic and see how well you do keeping adequate stock of reagents. I'd sell my mother for a decent supply of bone...or would, if I hadn't killed her..."
